Background:



Shell operated the world’s largest gas to liquid (GTL) plant, Pearl GTL, in Qatar. Shall has selected Mourik to replace old catalytic material by new one in the production process. Mourik has to follow quality and safety standards required by Shell. That is why Mourik seeks people who will strengthen its team in Qatar to help implement its safety management standards in the local circumstances and in collaboration with the client safety improvement initiatives.


 


Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Develops and maintains effective safety, quality and environmental assurance systems for the organization independently and in collaboration with the Global SHEQ Manager

  • Assures management systems are in compliance with corporate standards and local rules and regulations

  • Monitors and adjusts assurance systems in order to remain in compliance

  • Initiates improvement measures following internal audits, inspections and on-site visits and incidents

  • Maintains contacts with clients, service providers and relevant, external bodies

  • Manages the activities of the safety professionals in the team

  • Be responsible for the team of safety professionals (group of 7)

Wymagania:

Education:



  • SHEQ education (welcome, but not necessary)

  • 3- 5 years of experience on a similar position- absolutely needed

  • Experience at petrol, chemical or nuclear industry- welcome

  • Fluent English (written and spoken) – absolutely needed


Personal skills:



  • Available for 2-3 years

  • Properly handles comments and complaints on safety, health and environmental matters

  • Good manners when dealing with internal and external clients

  • Anticipates and meets customer demands

  • Sets priorities to adjust to Shell demands without lowering Mourik standards and working levels

  • Focus on the goal

  • Proactive approach towards improvements

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, quick problem solving, high persuasion and didactic skills

  • Quick and efficiently adapts to new situations, tasks and responsibilities and does so in a careful and energetic way


Job conditions:



  • The customer employs on a Dutch conditions and delegates to Qatar as a place of work

  • Salary: €15 gross/hour exclusive the holiday money and other reservations (the salary is negotiable and depends on skills and experience)

  • Health insurance: €29/week paid by the worker

  • Working hours: 11 hours per day from Monday to Friday plus 12 hour paid for standing-by at the weekends

  • Work schedule: 58 days of work in Qatar, then 28 days of in Poland ect

  • Flight Poland-Qatar, the Netherlands-Qatar, and back flights are paid by the company

  • Accommodation paid by the company (a housing camp with all kinds of facilities like sport and leisure)

  • Food at work and at the housing camp ensured and paid by the company

  • Commuting to work paid by the company
